Do I need to know how to draw?
No. Every page starts with a light sketch already printed on the paper, so there is nothing to draw and no blank page to stare at. You add water and color on top of the outline. Each page also suggests colors, which you can follow or ignore.
What is included — do I get paints?
The themed books and the 24-color paint tin are separate options on this page. If you already own watercolors, choose just the book. If you are starting from nothing, add the tin as well — it comes with a brush and the lid works as a mixing palette. Please check which option you are adding to the cart before checkout.
Which theme should I start with?
Pick whichever subject you actually like looking at — there is no difficulty order between the themes. Flowers, bouquets and garden suit soft, layered washes, while autumn leaves and seaside give you more contrast to play with. One theme per book.
How long does one painting take?
That is entirely up to you and how much detail you want to add. Many people finish a page in one relaxed sitting, and you can always leave it to dry and come back the next evening.
Is it suitable for children?
